Citywide Spelling Bee
For over 30 years the JWC has sponsored the Citywide Spelling Bee to promote education among local students. The "bee" is held every Spring and has dozen of local student entries.
Respect Awards
The Respect Awards is a program JWC of Milford offered to take over in 2017. It is a peer nominated program where students elect one Respect Star per classroom who shows respect for themselves, their classmates, their school and their community.
A handful of Respect Stars are then chosen to be Respect Ambassadors and honored at a special assembly in May as well as march in the Memorial Day parade!
Adopt-A-Spot
The group clears a section of town behind Milford Public Library to promote a cleaner and greener community.
Community Excellence Award
Formally known as the Living Treasure Award, this award has been presented over the past 20 years focused on honoring a Milford citizen aged 55 years or older, male or female, been a resident of Milford for at least ten years and whose contributions have enriched the community.

Milford Seniors Scholarships
Awarded annually to high school seniors who have shown exemplary devotion to the Milford community.
Please see the form below to submit your application. A scholarship ceremony is typically held in June.
